Twinlife was founded in 2012 by two experienced entrepreneurs with the mission to help people take back ownership over their digital (twin) life.

Since then, the company has integrated a large amount of open source and original technology, in particular WebRTC, the new peer-to-peer multimedia protocol standard for the web, into a comprehensive distributed open and inter-operable mobile communications platform.
Twinlife’s major innovation is the twincode® technology, a very flexible relationship model that can be used in many disruptive applications and use cases.
Twinlife’s flagship mobile application product, twinme, uses twincodes extensively to give users control over each of their contacts individually.
